Sydney
For those of you out of the loop, Matt and Jordan are half way around the world! Australia to be exact. We left "sunny" Canada on February 28th and arrived in Sydney on March 2nd. What exactly happened to the 1st we're still not sure, but we blame the Russians. We spent the first few days of our journey doing the tourist thing, checking out the sights(Opera House from the Bridge, above),
the city and enjoying the beautiful weather.
Going from -15 to +30 is such a shocking experience. It took us all of 3 1/2 minutes to get used to. Mwahaha! We hopped from hostel to hostel, meeting great people along the way, sitting on various beaches such as Bondi(above) and basking in our newfound paradise. The unfortunate thing about being in the city is that we didn't get to see any authentic Australian animals, 2 weeks in Oz and not one kangaroo sighting! Apparently there are over 60 million of them, so we were bound to see some eventually.
But we did get the pleasure of gazing at downtown Sydney at night(left). After 2 weeks of sunshine and sunburns we decided that it was time to move on...

These are some of the awesome people we met at the Funk House hostel in Sydney(and Ben, who is obviously not awesome).

Have fund guys, and stay safe. We miss you. Don't kill any more koalas, okay. BTW, it's 18 degrees C in Alberta today and the Oilers start the playoffs in two days against Detroit.

Great idea, guys. I love looking at the pictures as I can see that you are really there. Congrats on the foosball win...at least you didn't have to eat 73 wings this time to win something in a bar. I'm assuming that it would take you several days to use the bar tab, right?!!!!:)
Love, Mom

Sup guys, I've always been partial to koalas, so if you see any give em a big high five for me. You better be having fun, while i'm here in Canada working my ass off(not really). Catch you on otherside of the world sometime.

well guys, i wish i was still with you. canada is great but asutralia is the same but with beaches. the choice seems obvious. i spent tonight at dan's, defining my dominance at poker and redicing the number of kokanee in the world. jean luc and big mike would say high, but unfortunatley they managed to kill a 40 and a half of appleton's. i hear you'll be off to nz soon, good for you capital A-holes. my only slight consultation is that i get to sit on the beach at the lake soon. it won't be the same without you guys. everyone send's their love and blah blah mushy crap... i hate you lucky bastards

Hey Jordan (or should I say "Mate"),
Great to learn you are in Australia and having a great time. Good on you, mate. It's now when you are young and have all that extra cash and time (ha ha) that you can afford to see the world and experience travel.
Lindsay and Chelsea as I write left this morning on a bus trip to Edinburgh, Scotland.
I check your blog daily and remember you in prayer.
Any prayer requests?
Good on you, mate!
